Today, I explored LibraryThing and set up an account http://www.librarything.com/home/erica.wattson
I added two books I have read this summer, and I started to see the power of this online book club. It is exactly what I am searching for to use with my students. I don't want there to be advertising and I don't want inappropriate materials exposed for my elementary students. I am not sure if this site is too adult for my students, but I am curious about the power of using sites like this to get people to discuss books virtually. Very cool site!
